提要/Abstract

提要： 從人類文明史觀之，宗教可謂是推動人類社會演進的主要知識和實踐體系之一。作為中國土生土長的道教，其在以「尊道貴生」、「長生久視」為最終目的之宗教修行實踐中，從生命之現實「存在」的意義上，較為「合理」地回答了人「從哪裏來、到哪裏去」的所謂「終極關懷」之問，從而形成了極具「中國」特色的思想文化體系，進而在一定程度上促進了社會的進步和發展。而「道教社會責任」（DSR）理論的建立和實踐，將會促使當代中國道教更加積極融入社會，並以其道德倫理的精神和實踐之力，同現代科學技術一起，在共建人類命運共同體、走向共同發展與繁榮的征程中，發揮出不可替代的關鍵作用。因而，踐行社會責任，無疑是當代中國道教堅持中國化方向和可持續發展的必然選擇和必由之路。

Abstract: From the perspective of human civilizational history, religion constitutes one of the two fundamental knowledge-praxis systems driving societal evolution (the other being science). As an indigenous Chinese tradition, Daoism, through its religious praxis oriented toward ultimate goals of "venerating the Dao and valuing life" (zundao guisheng) and "perpetuating life and attaining transcendent vision" (changsheng jiushi), provides a culturally coherent response to existential questions of origin and destiny—the so-called "ultimate concerns"—thereby forming a distinctive Sinicized intellectual system. This system has historically contributed to social progress and development. The theorization and implementation of "Daoist social responsibility (DSR)" will further catalyze contemporary Chinese Daoism’s proactive social engagement. Through the spiritual and practical power of its moral-ethical framework, Daoism is poised to collaborate with scientific-technological advancement in constructing a shared human destiny community, playing an indispensable role in pursuing collective development and prosperity. Consequently, fulfilling social responsibility constitutes the essential pathway for contemporary Chinese Daoism to maintain its Chinese localization orientation and achieve sustainable development.
