Abstract: The sinicization of Daoism is a profound manifestation of a theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics applied to religion. Its core mission lies in addressing the dual challenges of the modern transformation of an indigenous religion—it must both preserve the genetic code of Chinese culture and achieve adaptation to socialist society. As China's only indigenous religion, how Daoism upholds orthodoxy while innovating, and accelerates the construction of its doctrinal system, constitutes an important part of building a religious thought system with Chinese characteristics and is an urgent task for the sinicization of Daoism.Based on this, this paper explores the interpretation of Daoist classics and the construction of theoretical systems, the restructuring of religious education curricula, and the development of dissemination systems, aiming to provide theoretical references for promoting the construction of a contemporary Daoist doctrinal system.
